Hey ho, the first weeknote! Nice, what an achievement.
I first learned about Weeknotes in the Agile Comms Handbook. Giles Turnbull (the author), explains very well what they’re good for here. In short: They’re a format for externally communicating progress on a regular basis, typically written like a blog post. They should be engaging to read and easy to write. I’ll be writing them as I go, and finalise at the end of each week. Once finalised, they’re sent out via E-Mail. For now, they will be sent to Ferdous + Fabio, until we’ve decided on who is my direct advisor.
<aside> 📦 @Bernhard: For the sake of your inbox, I will not include you in the recipients going forward. You (and everybody else!) can access this space under thesis.simonknott.de, so feel free to read up on what I’ve been up to on your own schedule. Or don’t. However you like :)

By having this written update, I hope you gain all the context needed so we can have high-quality one-on-ones, and skip the “ok so what have you been doing last week” minutes. It also helps me work more thoughtfully. Let’s see how that works :)
This space already contains a lot of things. There’s a TODO list, a large list of potential interview partners, and some more things. If you have a minute, please go to the Homepage and explore around. I’m sure there’s interesting things to find!
Most of my week will be spent on organisational stuff. Setting up this Notion, getting the first two weeknotes out, and figuring out what the timeline for everything is. You can see a full list of my TODOs here:
Okay, that’s it for now. Expect to see the next weeknote by end-of-week :)
Have a great one! Simon
